BOMBERMAN FANTASY RACE PSP EBOOT PRO
Both the native memory stick pro duo and micro sd cards via an adapter. Keep in mind that memory sticks for the PSP are much cheaper. (Edit: Although it seems like kind of a waste to spend that much money to only play PS1 games?) Only need to download it once too download it to the PS3 and before you install, plug the Vita in and copy the file over. (I've never used a PSP though so cannot directly compare the graphics quality it looks fine to me)Īs an aside, purchasing any PS1 classic on PSN store means you can play them on PS3 too if you want only one purchase needed for either console. There IS also the option to apply bilinear filtering to smooth the graphics, and to scale (stretch) games to widescreen or keep them letterboxed. I also have the select/start buttons on the front lower touchscreen, much easier to press like that than the buttons themselves. I'm playing Metal Gear Solid on the Vita currently and I'm using the right stick to switch weapons/items, by assigning L2/R2 to left/right, with up/down to cycle them. On the Vita I like that you can assign most (any?) of the buttons to the front touchscreen four corners as well.
BOMBERMAN FANTASY RACE PSP EBOOT MOD
The PSP does give you the advantage of being able to mod it with custom firmware, which means that if you can get your mitts on PS1 disc games that haven't made an appearance on PSN, you can generate EBOOT files out of them which will run with varying degrees of success on your PSP. It's a bit fiddly, but it works better than the PSP's approach, plus you have the benefit of the Vita's second stick. The Vita uses the rear touchpad to emulate L2/R2/元/R3. The PSP is at a disadvantage in that there is no way to emulate all buttons at once - the analog nub is used to emulate certain other controls (Dual Shock analogue stick, L2+R2). Both versions have scaling options, neither console applies bilinear filtering to textures. In terms of actual graphics, there's very little difference. The Vita obviously has the better screen (OLED vs. This means that on an official level, the Vita has access to the same PSN PSone classics library as the PSP3000.

I know that the Spyro trilogy and Arc the Lad at least work free of issues on the Vita.

I think there may be a few games that are deemed incompatible with the PS Vita, although it's possible that Sony has ironed out those problems in the meantime.
